On Friday 15th March something special happened at Humberstone Juniors. To raise to money for comic relief we held our very own talent show. Our hall turned into our very own theatre. There were entries from every class in the school, and lots of parents came to watch us. We had lots of dancing, singing, drumming, comedy acts and a bit more dancing! With three super compares to introduce each act the crowds were all laughing and smiling all the way through.
Streetdance opened our talent show with some fantastic tricks! Then 3SB started the talent show with a mash up of songs, dancing to Nikki Minaj, The Wanted and Little Mix. They were a brilliant opening act and we loved it! Next up were 4AK with some more dancing! They did a really good dance to wings by little mix. We loved watching it! After year 4 was time for a year 6 entry. Matthew did a brilliant dance to Good Feeling. We LOVED it! He was especially brave because he did it all on his own. Amazing!!!
After that 3RB took the stage, Pharrell showed off his drumming skills and sounded great! Then it was 4 JW’s turn. The girls did a great dance to Candy by Robbie Williams! Great job Girls! After 4JW it was 4FN’s turn, Daris sang dynamite and was really good! He was really brave and we think he did an amazing job! 5PP were next with their dance to Taylor Swift, they were good and a bit funny too! Then 3MH all took the stage with a whole class version of thriller. There were lots of red zombies with some great moves. 6EW were after 3MH and their entry was great! The girls did a brilliant dance, whilst the boys skipped about getting teachers to come and dance with them too! It was so funny, the teachers were all doing a hula dance and looked quite funny!
Next up on stage were 5MW with some really scary zombies! In a group they had learnt the actual thriller routine and looked amazing! Their costumes looked so real, we thought they were real zombies! The compares were really scared, they ran off of the stage when they saw these zombies. Then the school singing club sang the real Red Nose Day song! Mrs Nelson had taught them song in singing club and they did a great job! Finishing off our talent show was 6SI and the comedians. They were really really funny! There were wigs, and parrots and all sorts of things. They did pretend dances, told jokes and even fell over! Everyone was laughing!!
With raising money by wearing red, selling tickets to our show, and selling red noses, Humberstone have managed to raise so much money that the ladies in the office are still counting it!
Well Done Team Humberstone!!
